Watch list for record producer (Istanbul)

Hello all,

We received a request to add a couple of users to the watch list of a record producer. Not sure how to accomplish this, but I see many people use List Collector. I'm not too knowledgeable on how to use the list collector to set the usernames and hide it on the form, so I'm looking for any tips or alternatives to help accomplish this.

If someone could provide any suggestions or guidance that would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Grace,

The list collector will create a variable that results in a comma separated sys IDs. That's the same format as a list field (used in a watch list) so you can copy the values from the producer variable to the record's field (or just map the record producer variable to the record's watch list field.)

If you don't want the field/values appearing on the resulting form, just leave them off or hide them with a UI policy.

Hello Grace,

you can add the glide_list variable attribute to the attributes field on your list collector variable and force it to render as a glide list field instead. At record producer level you can directly map it to the watch list field. Screenshot for reference.

The field visibility can be hidden using UI policy. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you this is great! Is there any way to already assign the users in the watch list, since it will always be the same three people?
