wf_activity not able to save assigned variables

I am trying to use a rest api custom activity in Washington DC Version. after creating the full activity when I move the plugin to the workflow and add all the values to match my inputs. it does not get saved. Below is attached after submitting or updating this gets blank again.

im not using any script it’s a custom rest API activity I created and I followed all the pre requisite and when I test input ms in the activity they are working perfectly but this page above takes my workflow.scratchpad.*values and it’s not able to keep them. I have other workflows configurations same way and they are working we just updated to Washington DC version. This issue was there earlier as well but after couple of tries it was started working but this time it’s not.

Still I'm not sure what are you trying to achieve .

How are you updating those fields..from where you are getting data..did you put logs before assigning data..?

How custom rest API response is coming ?

I have created a rest api message that will connect to my GitHub and it is connecting there in test inputs and even I have noticed the logs are pulling my original catalog item variables as well it’s just this workflow activity is not able to hold my variables that will be sending the data to my test message function
