There are many benefits using Studio while creating some custom or scoped application, all application components visible on same page well organize manner and we can connect with any source resposity. 

Refer the doc link shared by @Dr Atul G- LNG . If not creating any custom app still one can try to learn with some custom app application.

Studio is a huge productivity boost, J_47. I love the unified environment – no more switching between tools. Version control with Git is a big plus too, makes collaborating on projects a breeze.
