What happens when the App Engine subscription is ended?

Hi everyone,

I checked the official document about App Engine which writes 'App Engine Starter is free and included in all products but to access additional features outside of App Engine Starter, a paid license of App Engine subscription is needed'.

And I would like to ask what happens when the subscription is ended?

Will everything created from the AppEngine, including APs and tables, be deleted from instance?

How about the access to applications and tables? Are they accessible even after the subscription is ended?  If not, is it possible to download these contents?

Does it affect the feasibility of App Engine development?

Last but not least, are there any restrictions on the data storage period for customized tables? Or anything else.

Any idea would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much.

Hi @Yu_G ,

that isn’t how subscription is working. If you purchase app engine subscriptions and at some point in time wants to remove the subscription, you as an admin/platform owner need to remove the items manually that consume that license. When that said, I would always recommend you to talk to a sales representative from ServiceNow to get the full understanding.

Hi @Yu_G ,

As @AndersBGS stated correctly, any subscription/plugins, paid/free, you have installed that would remain in your instance along with all the work you have done using that. If you don't need a plugin/subscription anymore you need to remove/uninstall that manually. ServiceNow will never do it automatically, however, as long as you are having that subscribed in your instance they are going to charge as part of their license review process that happens in regular intervals.

You can always get in touch with your ServiceNow sales representative to get all the information as the charges and license review process may differ customer to customer as per the agreement with ServiceNow.
