What is the use of Enterprise CAB required check box in change management?

Need to know the use of Enterprise CAB required. This check box is there in schedule tab of change management. Literally it should govern, if a change needs to be seen by CAB or not. I tried creating two changes, one with this field check and other as unchecked. When I refreshed the Agenda items, both of them appeared. So not sure what is its use of how to use it?

Hello Puneet,

From my understanding if the change form is configured to show the CAB required check box (OOB configured to show for Normal / Emergency changes), selecting it indicates that CAB approval is required before the implementation, just for indication purposes. It does not actually check for this field within the workflows and always goes through CAB within the workflow for both normal and emergency. If this does not meet your requirements, you could always edit the workflow to check for the field and then determine if it's required in order to throw the approval. If you want to filter them out from the CAB Meetings you could also add a Condition within the "Agenda Management" tab within the "CAB Meetings" form for "CAB required" is true.

I would have added the field to the OOB "Requires CAB Approval" decision condition but I agree that having a flag without any automated functionality seems less than helpful.
