When does a sentiment analysis trigger for a HR case?

Hi All,
Recently we have enabled now assist for HR in our environment and we enabled sentiment anaysis for hr case.
I have configured it every hour. but i can see the sentiment is updating for some case and for some its not. Can someone tell me why it is happening. Or for which types of cases it triggers?

Is it only for the cases triggered by email ?
