when I am importing the Basic Authentication profile from one instance to another I am getting error of 401, and the password of the profile seems difference even though I have imported the record, I have tried changing the password still it is not letting me do it.

Hi, I do not believe that you can utilize xml or updatesets to move encrypted password fields between instances, as the pw field is not decrypted during the process and so the target instance cannot understand decrypt the value it has been provided. The solution is to migrate the record and then update the PW manually in the new instance.
