Hello all!
I am extremely new to using the ServiceNow Developer Instance and the quirks to how it is installed and configured.
I am trying to replicate our production instance in my personal developer instance as closely as possible, so that I can compare the changes I am going to propose to what we have today. This is a bit difficult because my developer instance is on Zurich and our production instance is on Xanadu (for the moment).
However, one big difference is that our production environment has both the "CMDB CI Class Models" and "Expanded Model and Asset Classes" plugins installed. These modules both require the "Data Foundation Model" plugin (sn_cmdb_foundation), which is not licensed in the developer instance.
I don't want to activate all of the subscription plugins in my developer instance, because then my environment won't be a proper representation of our environment and licensing. However, I cannot seem to tell what to do in order to enable this.
I was able to install the Data Foundation Model plugin directly, though I noticed that it was version 1.1.0 and not 1.3.0 like the system requirements page listed. I am not sure if this is accurate or if I am missing something.
Anyone here have advice?

Go to Application Navigator -> System Definition -> Plugins
Look for Data Foundation Model 'sn_cmdb_foundation' plugin and if you have not installed already, it should show under Available for you section with latest version
If you have already installed it, see under Updates section and update the plugin. If you do not see latest version, click on Sync Now option from search result page and it should be available with version 1.3.0
If you want to replicate your environment exactly, provision a new PDI or register in Now Learning for any modules with Xanadu release and get a lab instance to test the features.
If this helped to answer your query, please accept the solution and close the thread.
Thanks,
Bhuvan

Oh my gosh, thank you so much! It turns out the step I was completely missing was the "Sync Now" option. Once I installed the plugins per @Dr Atul G- LNG 's recommendation, running the sync informed the system that I was good to install the additional plugins. I'm used to that kind of thing running automatically, but it makes sense that it wouldn't in a developer instance.
