Why Assignment group field is not displayed on Catalog task?

I have seen this in 2 New customer instances that Assignment group is not displayed/configured on sc_task form OOTB by ServiceNow.

Has ServiceNow changed any logic with regards to Assignment group? 

If not any idea why OOTB that field is not displayed?

Hi @Suggy 

I don’t think there’s any official reason provided by ServiceNow or in their documentation explaining why the assignment group has been removed from the form out-of-the-box. Even in my PDI, it is hidden.

OOB there is no dedicated form layout for sctask

when a table doesn't have a form layout or list layout (or when it's created)

it inherits it's parents form layout and list layout
