Hi,
I am new to the developer group and I extended the incident table,, and assumed the notification and business rules, etc would be inherited to the child table. But it seems not, not sure if I miss any thing here? For example, there is a notification to notify called "Incident opened for me", if submit a new case from incident table, it fires, but if I submit a new case from the child table with the same condition, it did not fire.
Could any one help out or point some related documentations of what and/or how to make those objects inherited from parent to child table?
Thanks lot!

Hi cjimartin,
For this particular notification "Incident opened for me", it does not have any of those you mentioned.
Yes, I did see the records I created from the extended table in the incident table record list. The test I did is:
1) I created a record from the incident module, set myself as caller, I did see the email notification generated
2) I created a record with the same information from my extended table ( I haven't added any new fields to the extended table yet) with the same information and set my self as caller, the I did not see the email notification generated.
3) Then I duplicate the notification and simply changed the table from incident to my extended table, it works!
So why this notification is not simply inherited to work for the child table records?
Thanks lot!
