Why the Languages field is invisible in an existing knowledge base?

I configured the knowledge base form to include the Languages field.  placed it right under Application.  But it is invisible in the existing knowledge base.  When I saved it, it appeared briefly and remains invisible when it is saved.  Can you show me step by step how to make it visible?

Hey @Jennifer Gorkow ,

Please follow below steps for the visible Languages field,

1.Edit Form Layout:
- Navigate to the form layout within the Knowledge Base using one of the following methods:
- For non-administrators (UI Policy):
- Access the "UI Policy" section in the Knowledge Base.
- If it's not visible, configure it as needed.
- Create or configure a UI Policy to adjust the "Languages" field's visibility and permissions.
- For administrators (Form Designer):
- Open the Form Designer by clicking on the "Form Design" related link.
- Locate the "Languages" field in the Form Designer.
- Customize the layout by rearranging fields, tabs, or sections to display the "Languages" field.

2.Configure "Languages" Field.
- In the selected interface (UI Policy, Form Designer, or Form Layout Configuration), configure the "Languages" field based on your requirements.
- Choose whether it should be visible, required, or read-only.
- Specify its location, such as in the main form or a related list or tab.

Regards,

Kamlesh

Hi @Jennifer Gorkow ,

Please share the more information, how you configured the Languages field on knowledge base form.

Is this custom field , if yes check some UI policies restricting the visibility due to required role or any other reason.

I checked my PDI ( Utah ) there is no language column in the knowledge base table. Please share the same from your instance.

Hi @AshishKM,

This field is added using Plugins to enable Dynamic Translation for Knowledge Articles. It is a list collector field. There's no ACL to restrict it. But in Organization instance its not visible although I can see in PDI.
