Work notes or comments diary to be shared among parent-child records in 3 levels

Hi,

Is there a possibility to create a work-note or comments diary, where journal inputs can be maintained and shared between parent record, its child record and their child records. Any new child record being created at level 2 or 3 should be able to see the history of all comments and work-notes made throughout the life of the parent record. 

There is a requirement to have this visible on a custom workspace, similar to the compose section on a record page, where we have the general work-note and comments input fields and the activity formatter. It could be a selectable from the sidebar beside the attachments icon.

On creation of a child, just copy everything from the journal fields of the parent (work notes into the work notes field, comments into the comments field). If a child is created on that child, it will automatically get the info from it's own parent (this prevents loops).
