Hi.

I need that every time I post a work note in the 'work notes' field my manager's name and  e-mail is automatically inserted to the 'work notes list' and sends an e-mail to my manager with the note that I wrote him, on task's completion.

Hi,

You can review using a "before" business rule on the table in question and if the work notes changes and updated by is you, then you can use the actions tab to dot-walk to the updated by's manager. It should also work even if your manager's name is already there, I don't believe it'll submit a duplicate. Then, automatically, your system notification for work notes list should go to the recipient without you having to do anything else.

If that doesn't work, then you'll need to script it, but we can address that if needed.

you can use flow designer for this with no script. Did you explore on that option?

1) Flow triggers when work notes changes

2) It then adds logged in user's manager and logged in user's email in work notes list

3) You can then use Send Email action to send email to manager with the latest work notes value
