Work order task is removing "assigned to"

I have a work order with work order task that are created through a work flow.
The next task is not created until the previous has been completed.
My issue is when it creates the new task and assigns the person to them, it also removes there name from the "assigned to field" on the previous task? Why is this happening?

Something is misconfigured or something is clearing the field after it is completed. Can you confirm that when you close the first task and the page reloads, is the field cleared right after? If so, start with looking at the sc_task table's Business rules. Also, could you attach a screenshot of your workflow, and both task steps?
