Workflow Notifications - Please Help!

Hi all!

 

I have a catalog item for employee terminations. Everything is working fine until the final notification. I want one notification to go to a combination of users and distribution groups. The issue is, users are reporting they are getting multiple copies of the same email.

 

To preface this, I inherited this process after a contractor came in and worked on the new Access Form solution. To try and troubleshoot, I copied the workflow and condensed it to perform the same. The final three activities are Wait For Tasks To Be Closed, Set Values to Completed, and Notification sent before End.

 

The previous workflow had an Event activity that sent the notification, but I thought that might be causing the duplicates, so I just did the Notification activity in the worflow.

 

The current activity is we are receiving two of the same email, as shown in Outlook and the Email Logs in our instance.

Hi @Tyler Jones 

 

I had a similar issue last time it was because of a notification which triggers on closure of an RITM and a notification from work flow activity.

 

If it is possible try to share the last activity configuration screen shot to make it easy to figure it out.

You're wanting the properties of the notification activity? Or a picture of the whole workflow?

It seems that One notification is being triggered from the work flow and the other based on either record update activity. Please check the configuration of notifications if there is any configured to trigger based on the record activity.

 

You can check by removing the Notification activity and observe if there is any notification being triggered even without the activity in workflow.
