The 2021 State of DevOps Report has just been released and is celebrating 10 years of insight and education. We've again partnered with Puppet to bring you this valuable resource. As usual there are many helpful findings and interesting discussion points on why teams struggle to break out from the middle to be top-performing DevOps teams.
Download the tenth annual 2021 State of DevOps Report to find out why firms get stuck in the middle of their DevOps evolution, why team identities and interaction models matter, and whether the rise of automation and cloud relate to an organization’s success in its DevOps evolution.
“It is not very surprising to see a theme emerging this year about the difficulty of going from a mid to high level of DevOps evolution,” said Anand Ahire, Head of DevOps Business and Product Management at ServiceNow. “We find early success stories of DevOps adoption in a few individual teams, but progress tends to slow down at the ‘teams of teams’ and at the enterprise level. Oftentimes that is because the need for speed at the team level is at odds with the need of risk and compliance management at the enterprise level, something that I believe can only be resolved through policy-based automation of change management processes.”
The report is available directly from the Puppet web site here.
