How is the planned start date/end date set?

In DPR, when you go the release list view, by default there is the Planned start and end date column. How are these set? When double clicking them, the box is greyed out with the message "Security prevents writing to this field."

So the steps are to:

- go to a sn_dpr_model_release record, select the view dpr_stage_release_details_view.

- add the fields for planned start and end date.

- add a ui policy for them to be writeable for release_process = stage releases, and readonly for release_process = timeline

Is this more or less the approach?

Could this be added as an enhancement to DPR? You can understand that if a release manager sees a planned start date field, they would like to use it 🙂

@LorenzVdV Not quite.

Here are the steps:

• Log in to dpr workspace as dpr release admin
• Go to Releases
• Open any Stage release (Release process = stage)
• Open the Release timeline for that release
• Select Edit on the summary card
• Enter your own Planned end date and start dates

It looks like you are adding the planned dates on the release phase instead of on the release?

1. We don't have a planned start date on the release phase.

2. Filling in the dates on the release phase will not show the dates in the list of all the releases.

We are on 2.4.1 because Zurich.

There are two ways to set a release date:

1. Choose the release target you created in the release calendar

or, if you enable the out-of-band property of dpr, you can select any date as your release date.

This release date will be associated with the Readiness phase of the release.
