What does status mean in DPR

Hi,
I just wanted to ask if anyone knows what the status field of a release means in Digital Product Release Workspace?
Why is it green, amber or red?

Thank you for the help.

Hi @Hermes14

DPR is a new product from ServiceNow, and the color codes are standard since the release. These color codes function based on the backend, indicating how many tasks for a release have been closed. They help determine whether the release date and testing, or other steps, are complete.

These color codes provide a visual representation of a release's progress, helping teams quickly assess which tasks are completed, in progress, or yet to start.

Understanding DPR Color Codes:

In ServiceNow's DPR module, each release stage is associated with a specific color, reflecting its current status:

  • Orange: Indicates the current active stage of the release.

  • Green: Signifies that the stage has been completed successfully.

  • Grey: Denotes stages that are either not started or have been skipped.

Hello @Hermes14

Usually in Digital Product Release (DPR) form, the "Green" value in the status field typically indicates that the release is in a successful or completed state.

This means the product release has met all necessary criteria and is ready for deployment or has been successfully deployed.

But I am not sure, why its showing "Green" for all the states in the screenshot you shared, probably something's missing the plugin that was installed - try repairing it or maybe some custom configuration was done.

Kindly mark my answer as helpful and accept solution if it helped you in anyway. This will help me be recognized for the efforts and also move this questions from unsolved to solved bucket.

Hi, thanks for the response but there are no orange or grey colors of status. Only green, amber and red.

Hi @Hermes14

Agree, even though I checked my PDI it is showing Green - Amber - Red, it almost automatically comes based on the release template and policy as I said in an earlier post.

DPR is a new product from ServiceNow, and the colour codes have been standard since the release. These colour codes function based on the backend, indicating how many tasks for a release have been closed. They help determine whether the release date and testing, or other steps, are complete.
