DPM impact: Application Service label change to Service Instance

Morne Lombard

Yokohama label changes for CSDM 5 - ServiceNow relabeled cmdb_ci_service_auto to Service Instance.

Is it envisaged to update DPM to reflect "Service Instance" where "Application Service" is reflected currently in the different interfaces?

When will a wizard be available to create a new "Service Instance"?

Hi @Morne Lombard,

Yes, Label Application Service is being officially changed to service instance then it is generally envisaged and recommended to update all related systems and documentation- including the DPS(Data product model) to maintain consistency across interfaces and avoid confusion for users and stakeholders

Currently "Application Service" is still reflected in DPM and CMDB Workspace - When will it be updated in line with the label changes? Currently users are accessing the objects via the Workspaces, however the new labels are "reflected" in the Application Navigator?

@Morne Lombard  In the upcoming Zurich release, you will be able to see the updated CSDM 5.0 labels in DPM workspace.
