User/Manager Viewable IT Asset List in Service Portal

Hello everyone,


We would like our customers (non-ITIL, snc_internal) to be able to use a Self-Service Portal to display a personalized list of assets assigned to each person. The customers should also be able to view and present asset data linked to each person's profile.

Ideally, we want each person to be able to view and manage their assigned hardware, such as asset type, status, and location.

We want their management access to view as well.

Does something like this already exist?

If not, how could this be done?

Hi @Nicholas Hromya ,

 

You can create a custom widget that displays a list of assets assigned to the logged in user.......Add the Widget to a Portal Page....Create or edit a page where you want to display the asset list.....Add the custom widget to the page layout.

 

If you prefer a less custom approach, you can utilize the OOB Simple List widget.....Use the assigned_to field to filter assets assigned to the logged in user.....Customize the displayed fields to include asset name, serial number, status, and location.....Add the Widget to a Portal Page.....
