Field changes in activity stream on portal

Hi Community,
I am currently trying to display few field changes from the portal, like it would show in the backed basically:
The goal is, if the RITM associated with my Case record changes state, this should be visible in the activity stream from the Case record, and visible from the portal.
During my research for an OOB solution I found this post that is basically saying that its not possible ? (not sure here:)

So my idea here was to put this state change as an additionnal comment as a workaround, which would be visible to the enduser from the portal.
But I'm not really familiar with the activity stream and I'm not sure how to tacle this. So if anyone could help me out for this one, that'd be really appreciated. Thanks in advance !
Also, feel free to challenge my idea as well, I'm open to any suggestion. I just couldn't think/find a better solution.

If you're looking for an OOB solution, I believe the CSM integration with Request Management is what you're looking for.
