How do I find the properties of JSON configurations (eg. Service Portal Quick Start)?

Hi all,

 

This is a general question but in my particular case right now it pertains to the Employee Center Service Portal Footer.

 

It is very convenient that the config is just a JSON object, but it is frustrating when you don't know the possible properties for the JSON and there isn't a tooltip or a clear place to look in the documentation.

 

My 2 questions are:

 

  1. Where can I find documentation on all the properties for the Service Portal Quick Start config (especially the footer) as shown in my attached screenshot?
  2. Is there a place where I should look to find the JSON documentation in general / I would like to suggest to ServiceNow that they include the documentation in a tooltip, to at least give you a link to where you can find all the possible properties for the JSON?

You can always use the Employee Center Footer from navigator to configure footer for your portal.
