I’m looking to create a Quick Link in EC portal to assign to some of the topics in the taxonomy so that users can click it and initiate a call to the help desk via Microsoft Teams. I have created an External Link content type and configure a tel: URL. However, I noticed that when I enter tel:+611234567, ServiceNow automatically converts it to tel:+611234567. When users click the Quick Link in Employee Center, Teams opens but returns an error saying it cannot find the person they are trying to reach.
Tried using the deep link mentioned in few posts, that's still not working.
Tried an option to create a portal page and add a widget in to the page and call the page directly from the quick link as a modal popup. But when the quick link is clicked it is redirected to the new UI page and navigate away from the taxonomy topic page.
Has anyone implemented an EC Quick Link that allows users to initiate a phone call directly to a phone number?
