How to migrate Employee center connected content

I have added knowledge categories and catalog categories for topics and subtopics in employee center, which will fetch the catalog items and knowledge articles into the connected content tab.

 

While I migrate the XML of knowledge categories and catalog categories for topics and subtopics, mapping the catalog items and knowledge articles to connected content is not automatically happening.

 

Any idea on how to migrate connected content, since remapping is required in the other instance and we can only move categories.

Moving XML files for migrating the connected contents is the best solution.

In theory your instances should be the same. I would expect you to semi-regularly clone over you sub production environments from your production environment so that they are all identical.

Have you tried exporting the table (m2m_connected_content)? Test it with a few items first. You can filter the list down to what you'd like to export. Just make sure the items and taxonomy exist just like in the current instance. Import the xml or csv of the table.
