We have the ability to send an SMS text message from a HR case to an employee's mobile phone as a 1 way message (meaning if the employee replies back, the response will not go on the HRC). We have not deployed this to prod yet as we do not have written consent from the employee to contact them via text from the system . This is mainly for our deskless workers who do not have company email or company mobile phones. We were planning to use this as a tool to let employees know we have responded to their case and to log into NowMobile or the portal via a kiosk or home computer to view our comments. I'm wondering 2 things:
1) What do other customers do from an onboarding policy or handbook standpoint to have emp's sign off that it's okay to use SMS?
2) Is there a way that we can set up an Opt In/Opt Out feature in their profile settings or is this only if we have Twilio or another vendor (we do not at this time).
