Taxonomy bar not updating

Hello Everyone,
I am trying to add a new Taxonomy topic to the main bar in the Employee Center. However, After following all the guides and instructions the bar is not updating.
My current Taxonomy is OOTB. I want to add a "Marketing" option that has a dropdown for catalog items. I have Cloned the Employee Taxonomy and created the new topic, added connected content and child topics. Under Portal taxonomy i removed the default one and added my clone. Now the bar is empty.
I can change the portal taxonomy back to the original one and all of the out of the box ones show up again.
What am i missing here? From what i have read all i need for these options to show up are connected content attached to them. Please help 🙂

I am having the same issue
we did a CLONE of the "Employee" one, set up the new one the way we wanted
then moved it over
On update the menu bar is just gone.

Hi Arohm,
Please go through - Advance Portal Configuration.
Once you make any changes on the Taxonomy, Menu, menu item - You need to sync hierarchy.
Go to,
App navigation -> Portals -> Open the portal -> scroll down and you will find Advanced portal navigation and click sync hierarchy.
Also check if the catalog items are associated to the correct topic and taxonomy.

Did you resolve the issue? or is it a bug after the Washington dc update?
