Taxonomy is not working on Mega menu

I am working on the implementation of an Employee Center portal, I found an error in the Mega Menu. The Mega Menu does not show the taxonomy, I checked the reference in the related list on the portal form but does work. On the other hand, all widgets that depend on Taxonomy work, this gives me an idea, the error is in the Mega menu widget.

As you can see in the screen capture the Taxonomy is in the related list

I clone the Mega Menu widget and found that line 17 those do not change until you change your session Id (this force you to logout to be able to see the updates ) and ass well won't load the taxonomy in the mega menu if it is in the initial load of the Employee Center, the taxonomy was empty and is not sensitive to taxonomy updates.

How I can report this error to ServiceNow?

Hi Juana,

i don't think there is problem on mega menu widget.

Usually is a best practice to Clone the Default's taxonomy  and work on the clone.

If you need the show something on the Mega Menu, you need to use a Topics.

Taxonomies, create a Child topic for example IT.

IT ---> It's child topic, for example Problem, and  from Problem you can connect your catalog item for example or Quick Link.

Check this here https://docs.servicenow.com/en-US/bundle/tokyo-employee-service-management/page/product/employee-cen...

Hi Juan,

For the taxonomy or any topics to appear, you must first have some content (e.g., knowledge article, catalog item) mapped to it.  Validate when you look at the actual topics within the Taxonomy attached to your EC/portal, that:

  1. The topic is active
  2. There is at least 1 active content record mapped to it that you have access to

If it was recently added, you may need to run cache.do and reload.
