Modification of Global Search in native view

Hi,
I need to modify the "Global Search" logic on backend so that no "sc_cat_item" results are returned by the searches. We also need to ensure that this restriction does not impact the employee center portal search logic.
Please help me.

another option is add your catalog item in this filter condition for search source, logout and login again and then verify

it worked for me
I added the 2 catalog items in that filter condition and when I searched it didn't show up
"General Benefits Inquiry" is not searchable
Also "Logitech Wireless Mouse" catalog item was not added in that filter condition so I was able to search with that

1) Catalog item with inactive category will not come under search result in portal.
2)Refer: Search settings filter and group global search results by table
