Configuring Access hours preference

Hi,

 

I am looking to set up access hours against a particular location, so have followed the steps below:

1. Under 'Field service -> Access Hours Configuration->Access hours preference' I have set up a new preference for a particular location and set the hours to be Saturday 2-5pm only. See below.

However, when using dynamic scheduling for Work order tasks which are for this location, it doesn't respect the preference set above. Would anyone know what else needs to be setup to ensure the access hours are used when assigning a WOT?

Hi, can you ensure the "Use Access Hours" Option is Enabled in Scheduling Rules and validate the location assignment in the WOT

it might also be worthwhile to check if there are other overriding constraints

Thanks for the suggestion. Can you let me know how I can check if 'Use access hours' is enabled in scheduling rules? 

 

When the access hours is populated on a WOT, the access hours does work. Its just when we set it as a preference for a location. I have checked and the WOT does have the location set.

  • Go to Field Service > Administration > Dynamic Scheduling Rules.
  • Open the relevant Scheduling Rule.
  • Ensure that the rule includes the "Use Access Hours" option.
  • Check if there's an explicit "Apply Access Hours from Location" setting and ensure it is enabled.
