I have a customer who wants to implement the Citizen Developer concept in ServiceNow, allowing different teams to create and manage their own Work Order Templates without relying on the Global scope.
Currently, I’ve noticed that FSM Work Order Templates can only be created in the Global scope, which poses a limitation for governance and citizen developer autonomy.
I would like to know if there is a way to:
1️⃣ Create Work Order Templates in a different scope than Global.
2️⃣ Allow each application in its own scope to have its own templates without impacting the Global scope.
3️⃣ Alternatively, if there are any best practices or workarounds to enable this flexibility within FSM.
Has anyone faced this requirement before or has recommendations on how to handle it?
