Is it possible to do app location tracking for field service management agent mobile app?

 

Requirement: Kindly ensure location tracking is enabled, besides the device location, for a technician to accept any task.

Yes, it’s possible to enable location tracking in the ServiceNow Field Service Management (FSM) Mobile App

 

 

  • Navigate to Field Service Management > Administration > Configuration.
  • Ensure that Enable Geolocation Tracking is turned on 
  • then Modify Task Acceptance Rules
  • Use the Mobile App Builder to configure the FSM mobile app
  • Ensure the user roles associated with technicians (like wm_agent or wm_dispatcher) have the required permissions to update and share their location data.
