We have several duplicated records in discovered items table for same IP and asset name combination. Qualys is our scanner tool and a unique thing about these records is the Source ID for all these records are different. These are mostly VDI records. I am unable to find some of the older ones in Qualys anymore and they are stale in ServiceNow. Are there purge rules in VRM that will delete these stale discovered item records?

Hello Sandeep,
The article in your post talks about auto-delete rules for Vulnerable items and not for Discovered items. I would like to understand what happens to Discovered items that came in from Qualys source data and does show up on subsequent imports.
Thanks,
Harish Viswanathan

Same happening here where there are duplicate Discovered Items for the same CI. Each DI has different VI's associated and the stale discovered item isn't updating it's VI's causing headaches with remediation owners. Auto-Delete rules are set for 365 days. That is a long time before the DI's are purged in my opinion. If we delete all items older than 365 days doesnt that also means we cannot show value (metrics) over longer periods of time?
