Start by familiarizing yourself with FSO

FSO helps you connect your entire financial institution with one platform. It comes with many capabilities that   modernize banking, insurance, and wealth management while also unifying employee, IT, and customer teams with digital workflows to accelerate business performance. You can get an high-level overview of FSO benefits and capabilities in its  product page and datasheet . You’ll also find links to product documentation for selected capabilities in the box on the right.

This Financial Services Operations (FSO) Essentials on-demand course provides a foundational overview of Financial Services Operations (FSO). In addition, we have FSO Banking & Wealth Essentials and FSO Insurance Essentials courses.  If you're interested in our Disputes Management offering, we have a ServiceNow Disputes Management Built with Visa On Demand Implementation Bootcamp  which will help you become an expert implementer of our disputes solution.  If you are new to ServiceNow, we also strongly recommend that you take this very short Get Started with the Now Platform course to learn the platform basics. If you want a deeper dive into using the Now Platform, a longer ServiceNow Fundamentals course is also available.

Identify your desired business outcomes

Before you start to implement FSO, it’s critical to have a clear vision of what you want to accomplish. FSO allows you to deliver many positive business outcomes, and you can achieve all of this over time. However, by deciding which outcomes are most important for your organization and agreeing on them with your stakeholders, you can set clear expectations and tailor your initial implementation to realize these goals.

Pro Tip

As you do your initial implementation, it's important to keep future objectives in mind as you plan.

Prepare for organizational change

To successfully deploy FSO, you need your business to understand and use FSO and recognize its benefits. To do this, you need to communicate what’s changing and why to both your end users and service desk agents. You also need to ensure that your agents are trained on ServiceNow FSO.

This webpage provides detailed guidance on how to plan for organizational change. If you need help creating a winning communications plan, this communications plan template also provides useful advice.

The following courses are a great starting point for training your agents and other FSO process users:
