Default value "Sync with Entity Owner" changed to true in v17.0.2 of GRC: Profiles?

Hello All,

I am analyzing a problem of a customer, and I think I might found the problem.

It is about the field "sync_with_entity_owner" at the table "sn_grc_item" from application "GRC: Profiles".

In Version 16.0.6 of GRC: Profiles Application the default value of this field is "false".

After updating to version 17.0.2 of the GRC: Profiles application, the default value change to "true". 

Can this be? 

I didn't saw anything mentioned in the release notes.

If you do not want this functionality, you can update the default value to true.

Yes, I will do so. 

I was more surprised that I couldn't find any information in release notes about the change of the default value setting of this field.

So we were not aware about the change. Which caused some confusion and time to analyze why the implementation behaves now slighty different to earlier (before version update of the module).

Yes this strange for new records, as this UI policy "Make owner read only when sync owner is true" kicks in on new records.

Now the Owner field can't be changed on new control records.  Would love to know why this change was made in release 17?
