Hello GRC Community!
In an Authorization Package, we have added Controls using Control Overlays and as expected, they generate Indicators and Control Tests. ONE control was manually added and it generates an Indicator but not a Control Test. I have tried to create a Control Test form Audit Tasks but am unable to attach it to the actual Control. Any ideas? TYSM!

Hey @Marriam ,
To create a control test you need to create a test plan first, this is the testing methodology your control test will use. Once you create a test plan for the control, it will be auto related when you relate the control to the engagement. Then you can select the specific test plan you want to execute and click the "Generate control tests" button on the related list for the test plans and it will create control tests for you.
See the below on how to create a test plan.
Hopefully that helps!

Hi @Marriam ,
We tend to use Control tests in the Audit Space which is the Engagement records. To make it work Automatically, you need to follow this sequence :
- Create a test template
Test templates allow audit managers to quickly create many test plans using much of the same testing criteria.
- Relate a test template to a control objective
Audit owners can create generic control test templates for a control objective, avoiding the creation of individual control test plans for every control.
- Create an audit test plan
Once all done then follow these steps : Automatically generate control tests from an engagement
