Hey GRC team,
Does anyone know if there is an easier way to upload Policy text to ServiceNow? While we have been a ServiceNow shop for a few years we have never figured out a good way to upload our Policies into SNOW. We do all of our editing in Word for collaboration and then transfer over to SNOW once editing and review is completed. This process is starting to become incredibly tedious as we have to constantly reformat in the SNOW text editor. Sooner or later our Policy stack will get too big to manage this way. I know there is a new O365 integration, but we are still a while away from implementing that feature. We also thought about just uploading a link to the Word document, but that takes away from the auditability in SNOW.
If anyone has found a good way to transfer text between Word and SNOW for Policy management I would love to hear your thoughts!
Thanks,
John C.

Hi @John C ,
I would recommend you to speed up the O365 integration as you also have written about. The reason for this is, than when first the policy is created, it will be much easier for you to edit policies directly in ServiceNow utilizing word.

Hey Anders,
Thanks for the reply. Do you know if the integration requires we be on the updated UI? If so there would not really be a way for us speed up the process as our ServiceNow platform team is not planning to update the UI until later this year/early next year.

Hi @John C ,
according to my knowledge, it’s not a requirement. But off course always read the documentation thorough to ensure nothing is missed: you can read some of the notes here:

Hi @John C ,
1. Best approach to go with CSV that will help us to -
Track the data very well
We can handle errors if any by script
We can add logs
Transform script we can use for any value modification.
With CSV, we can upload files in branches step by step. This will again increase our flexibility.
