Policy Exception tied to Control in Draft Mode, Unable to Attest

A policy exception was tied to and approved to a control while it was in draft mode. When we went live with the control and tried to move it into attest, the attestation respondent received the email to attest to their control, but they got an error message when attempting to complete the attestation form. Additionally, on the control there was no attestation that was incomplete under the 'Classic Attestation' tab.

I then set the control back into draft and tried to move it into attest state again to see if I could get the attestation form to populate and notify the respondent. This time, it went right to review status. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Do I need to recreate the policy exception and without the association to the control until it has been attested to?

Hi @mhaller , once a policy exception has been raised for a Control in Draft status, The control is considered to be exempted from Attestation process. Hence when you try to attest, the Control goes directly into Review without an Attestation triggered.

Try to bring the Control back into Draft, clear the 'Exempt' flag on form, Save the Control and then trigger Attestation. It should work.
