Thursday
- If the template due date is blank, what out-of-the-box (OOB) logic or default duration is the Smart Assessment Engine using to calculate a deadline and trigger a cancellation?
- Is there a hidden system property, scheduled job, or Flow Designer action driving this default expiration behavior?

Hello @pokulkarni ,
1. Due date Validation: could be set in multiple place. One in the template itself, another could be from the flow action which we use to trigger smart assessment check both.
2. Validate the duration field also, that could potential set the due date.
3. Due to setting the template back to draft state for editing: when you edit the smart assessment template, by setting to draft or any other mechanism, the older instance can go to cancelled state.
4. SAE may have its own scoped scheduled jobs or Flow subflows under the *sn_smart_asmt_* scope. Navigate to System Definition → Scheduled Jobs and filter by application = "Smart Assessment Engine" to see if there's a separate cancellation job specific to SAE.
Point 3 is the highly possible scenario. But review all this and let me know if you still get the cancellation of instances.
