Talent Development- November 2024 Store Release Overview

 

We're excited to announce November 2024 release for the Talent Development product. This release includes feature improvements to Leader Hub, Manager Hub, Opportunity Marketplace, and Skills Intelligence apps within Talent Development. Refer Xanadu/August store release blog to know more about last release.

 

Note: Install the latest Talent Development plugins from ServiceNow store to get access to below features and enhancements. 

 

1. Leader Hub Enhancements

 

  • Three new widgets on Team details page: Leaders have access to 3 additional data and insights via widgets on the Org talent > View details page:
    • Widget #1 – ‘Range of years spent at company’ (tenure at company)
    • Widget #2 – ‘Time spent in current positions’ (tenure in current position)
    • Widget #3 – ‘Range of employee experience’ (tenure by job levels)

  • Insight based suggestions: The proactive prompt widget has been added to the At a Glance page in Leader Hub. It comes with pre-configured ‘Address skill gaps’ prompt as OOB demo data.

  • Conversations in Leader Hub: Leaders can schedule conversations directly from the team leads org chart or from Org skills page.

2. Manager Hub Enhancements

 

Schedule conversations from Manager Hub directly from the list of reporting team members or team member’s profile. Track the upcoming conversations for an employee all-in-one place within conversations app.

3. Opportunity Marketplace Enhancements

 

This update introduces architectural changes, such as the transition from the Hiring core requisition table to the new Hiring core job posting table. This change facilitates integration with both internal and external Talent Acquisition (TA) solutions and brings about UI enhancements, including displaying Job Posting IDs on cards and quick view. It also allows for multiple job postings per requisition or job postings without a requisition.

  • Employees can search for jobs using either the Job Id or Req Id.
  • Employees can easily Refer or Apply to Internal Jobs from the details fly out.

4. Skills Intelligence Enhancements

 

With new skill activity insights, managers can make informed decisions when validating skills of their team members, and employees can add credibility to their skills. With this release Skills Intelligence supports 10 new languages.

 

  • Skill activity insight in Manager Hub

When a manager clicks on a skill to validate for their employee they can now see what Learning, Mentoring, Gig/ Project activities, related Growth Plans & Aspirations support the validation.

  • Skill activity insight in Conversations

Managers can better support employees in skill development. From a Conversation the manager and employee can view skills the employee is actively working on, see top skills with the most activity, and the Learning, Mentoring, and Gig/Project activities in-progress and completed.

  • Skill activity insight in Growth Plans

From a Growth Plan skill validation task, a manager and employee can view the Learning, Mentoring, Gig/Project activities the employee has completed to support skill validation.

  • Multi-Lingual Skills Intelligence

Skills Intelligence is now accessible in 10 more languages. The names and descriptions of skills in the OOB skills library and skill graph/ontology are offered in Dutch, French, German, Japanese, Italian, Spanish, Korean, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, and Arabic.

 

Translations are available where skills can be searched or recommended.

Note- To activate, the admin uses platform translation plugins and can add custom translations. Employees can change their preferred language in their profile settings.
