Does the Badge Reader in Walk‑Up Experience perform login or just check‑in?

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to understand how the Badge Reader Integration works with Walk‑Up Experience. When a user scans their badge at an on‑site Walk‑Up, I’m not sure whether this action:
1️⃣ Logs the user into ServiceNow,
or
2️⃣ Simply identifies them and checks them into the Walk‑Up queue.
While reviewing the documentation, I found several points that suggest the badge reader is only used for check‑in, not for authentication or login.

Hi @Harbhjans
Most organizations primarily uses Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) or NFC (Near Field Communication) technology for Badge scanning to provide contactless access to buildings, rooms, and, in some cases, computers.
The process involves an employee tapping or waving an RFID-enabled badge near a reader, which instantly transmits a unique identifier to a central database to grant or deny access
Here ServiceNow providing an enhanced, easier, and faster Walk-up Experience check-in process by this Badge reader. The Badge Reader Integration application provides a generic, reusable REST API used by the badge integration clients. Walk-up Experience uses the Badge Reader Integration application as a soft dependency
