OOB reports to be visible to all users

I have nearly 1400 reports in my instance. I want to make all these OOB reports to be visible to all the users.

Why do you want that?

That might not work because not all users might have access to the underlying data.

Hi @ellendulash ,
I trust you are doing great.

To create a new role, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to "User Administration" > "Roles" in the ServiceNow menu.
  2. Click the "New" button to create a new role.
  3. Give the role a name, such as "Report Viewer."
  4. In the "Base system roles" section, select "report_admin" to give the role access to all reports.
  5. Click "Submit" to save the new role.

To assign the new role to all users, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to "User Administration" > "Users" in the ServiceNow menu.
  2. Select all the users who need access to the reports.
  3. Click the "Edit" button to edit the selected users.
  4. In the "Roles" section, add the new "Report Viewer" role that you created.
  5. Click "Save" to save the changes.

Once these steps are completed, all users with the "Report Viewer" role will have access to all reports in the instance.

Hi @ellendulash ,

What is the purpose of this task. 1400 OOTB reports will not give value to any users, as users have different access roles and different requirements.

If my answer has helped with your question, please mark my answer as accepted solution and give a thumb up.
