How can I identify an OOB RMA-related Shipment record created when a Shipment RMA Task is closed?

Hi Community,

I am working with the out-of-box RMA process in ServiceNow.

When a Shipment RMA Task is closed, the system creates a record in the following table:

sn_itam_common_shipment

I need to reliably determine, from the Shipment record, whether it was:

  1. Created as a result of closing a Shipment RMA Task; or
  2. Otherwise related to an RMA, RMA line, or RMA task.

Could someone please clarify the following?

  • Which out-of-box field or reference on sn_itam_common_shipment links the Shipment record to the RMA, RMA line, or Shipment RMA Task?
  • Is there an OOB relationship, related list, or dot-walk path that can be used to trace the Shipment back to the RMA process?
