Root cause of Blank Ci on asset

In Asset table, we see some of records not having configuration item in it. Does anyone have any idea why the CI is empty when an asset is created?

What is the logic to create a CI for an asset & what fields are considered respective of it?

The Configuration Item is based on the model category from the asset (if the model category has a CI table related to it).

Can you please check if those CIs not being created are related to the same category you are trying to create?

In Snow, a CI automictically get created when an asset record is created . how can we check CI is not being created related to same category.

If the CI for some items in the same category are being created and some not, then I dont know what it could be.

If you go in the Model Categories table, you are able to find which CI table the category will create an entry (image attached). But again: if the Ci table is in that cateogry, and it's randomly creating/not creating, then it should be something else.

we looked at the model categories table and found that we have CI table in that category.

So can you suggest why some of the asset records have the CI and some the asset records donet have CI.
