SCCM Feed updating hardware model

Hi

Looking for some guidance. I'm relatively new to HAM Pro as an End User of the product.

We introduced a new laptop model a few months ago. I created a product model for it and got it all normalized.

Once these devices came into use and were feeding data in via our SCCM feed, it created a new product model, I assume based on data within the BIOS. I wasn't too worried about this and got that normalized too.

More recently we onboarded a different spec of the same model (different SKU). Again I created a product model for it and got it normalized.

When this model has begun to feed in from SCCM, the data it's reading for the model appears to be the same detail as the earlier model, so it's amended the model on our Asset/CI so it's no longer correct.

My main thing to ask here is that if I create an additional product model to match the detail that comes in from SCCM will that cause any issues with the feed, as it wouldn't know which product model it refers to. Would it leave the product model as initially defined or would it somehow choose one of the two product models with the same description and potentially amend it to the wrong one still?

Thanks in advance for any replies 🙂

I have the same Problem with the IRE and the Intune Integration. Normalized Models are not recognized by the IRE.

Anybody a Advice here how to prevent the Model Creation without changing the Import Logic
