Can someone help me to know about HAM/SAM profile is good to opt for ServiceNow CMDB person or not?

Is there any impact on CMDB career or good to opt for 6 month project?

Yes, HAM/SAM is a good career option for a ServiceNow CMDB professional.
It does not negatively impact your CMDB career; in fact, it can strengthen your understanding of asset data, CI data quality, and the relationship between assets and configuration items.

A six-month project can be valuable if you get hands-on experience with implementations, integrations, data imports, asset-to-CI synchronization, and troubleshooting not just routine administration.

My suggestion is to take the opportunity if the project provides meaningful hands-on experience. HAM/SAM and CMDB are complementary skill areas, so this experience can broaden your ServiceNow career options.

Yes, it’s a good choice. There’s also a shortage of resources. For more than 2 years ServiceNow itself highlights ITAM in almost every partner briefing as a product with a lack of implementation resources compared to other modules.
