With ServiceNow’s investment in Gen AI and providing a transformative experience, customers can now use Health and Safety Now Assist for their Health and Safety experience. Utilizing ServiceNow’s LLM, Incident Summarization is the first use case of Gen AI for the Health and Safety Product.
For customers utilizing Health and Safety Incident Management, the Health and Safety Now Assist incident summarization capability will reduce time spend summarizing details of the incident, root cause analysis and actions. The summary can be shared as lessons learned to stakeholders across the organization to prevent incidents of a similar nature from occurring.
How to Use:
- Navigate to a Health and Safety Incident
- Open a health and safety incident record
Note: For Gen AI to summarize an incident the sequence of events, root cause analysis, and at least one action needs to be populated otherwise the summary will appear as n/a.
- In the activity stream select summarize incident
Once summarized, a window will appear to confirm the summarization. This is an additional check to ensure no PII is being shared and the information is summarized accurately.
- Select Save to work notes
The summarization will then copy to the activity stream and be stored for reference. This summary can then be copy/pasted and shared as an action item or email notification.
How to Set Up:
Download the plugin Now Assist for Health and Safety
- Navigate to All >Now Assist Admin > Features
- Select Employee Workflows
- Select Health and Safety with View Details
- Select the Activate a skill
Review the details of the skill
- Select Activate
Verify the skill is now active
