Now Assist for HR feature and enhancements 

In our May 2025 store release, we have a few AI agents and generative AI features being released as below: 

 

Agentic Workflow: Resolve Non-Critical HR Case 

  • Persona: Employee

The May 2025 store release solves for a resolve noncritical HR case agentic workflow. We have shipped 4 agents Out of the box to work for this agentic workflow – Record management agent, HR criticality detection AI agent, HR search retrieval AI agent and HR notification Agent.This agentic workflow automates the resolution of employee queries by leveraging AI agents to create case, detect "criticality", and shares relevant KBs/ catalogs with the employee.

When an employee submits their question through email or on the portal, the AI Agents will gather the case details and analyze if the case is critical. If the case is critical, then the case is routed to a human agent to service. If the case is analyzed to be noncritical, then the HR search retrieval AI Agent surfaces up the relevant KBs and catalog items that could resolve the employee’s question. At the end, the notification agent then updates the case and sends a notification either via email or through Now Assist in Virtual Agent.

To configure this agentic workflow, start by going to the AI Agent Studio. In the AI Agent Studio, you will be able to provide instructions on the use case and the AI Agents and tools needed to execute this workflow.  For more information on AI Agents, check out this FAQ.

 

Journey Summarization for Managers 

  • Persona: Manager 
  • Availability: Now Assist for HRSD May 2025 Store 
  • Dependency: Journey Designer 

On the Journey detail page, the manager can initiate a journey summarization action. The journey summarization feature summarizes the journey into sections like overview, blockers and next steps. This summary highlights key points for the manager that it is essential for the manager to act and support their employee either via unblocking them or gathering information on the overdue tasks.

Employee Journey Management 

For our May 2025 store release, we have some usability enhancements that have been made in Journey Designer. These enhancements will improve the experience the various personas have on our journey pages. We have 4 enhancements as below: 

 

Journey Status Experience 

  • Persona: Manager, Employee and Mentor 
  • Availability: Journey Designer May 2025 store 

On the Journey page, the status of the journey is sometimes not intuitive to understand the details. For example, the status of overdue does not tell us if something was overdue on employee or by manager or another employee. From the May 2025 store release, we have added some information messages which will help understand the status of the journey.

This enhanced experience on journey status is available for an employee, manager and mentor as well. 

 

Journey tasks display experience enhancement 

  • Persona: Manager, Employee and Mentor 
  • Availability: Journey Designer May 2025 store 

Under journey overview you will see that the labelling of tasks now intuitively reflects what they represent for each person viewing the page. This allows for the data to be consistent with the data progress bar reflects on a journey. This feature avoids any confusion in interpretation and makes the user experience more intuitive and standardized.

Journey filter experience enhancement 

  • Persona: Manager, Employee and Mentor 
  • Availability: Journey Designer May 2025 store 

 

As of the May 2025 store release, under journey overview, the tasks are now labelled and ordered based on persona viewing the page like ‘your tasks’ instead of all tasks. The order has also been changed to your tasks. Overdue, due soon and all tasks for employee and mentor persona. The order is all tasks, overdue, your tasks, for employee, due soon for Manager persona. The experience is now more catered to persona viewing the page and ordered based on what would be of priority for the persona. This makes the journey experience very pleasant and effective.

Next tasks widget enhancement 

  • Persona: Manager, Employee and Mentor 
  • Availability: Journey Designer May 2025 store 

Your next task widgets had some restrictions earlier in terms of the number of tasks and how the tasks were arranged which occasionally led to confusion for employees on open tasks. With the May 2025 store release of journey designer, we have revamped your next task widget.

The admin can now configure how many tasks can be visible via a script which removes the earlier restriction of 3.

The tasks after May will show up to 10 tasks Out of the Box and will be rearranged based Tasks with due date across all journeys sorted from oldest to latest. Within oldest journey, the stages are sorted on display order or system updated date.
