Can we have Description(rich_description) & Global description in the same HR TASK?

Hi,

We have 2 HR task in a HR case. First task is an employee input form and second is for the fulfiller to act on it.  Once the first task is completed, the second task will be created with the details from the first task and stored it in the rich_description  field. We have added HR template to the second task for translations. Post that HR task is showing only the Global description field and the fulfillers are not able to see the information submitted from the end user as rich_description is missing. Is there any way for it?

Hello,

Why are you storing details in Rich description instead of normal description field, you can control this behavior no ? Generally only one Description field should be displayed so either stick with normal one or rich text one, You cannot have both it will be confusing as well so In my opinion you can copy first task details to normal description field. Lastly, if Rich description is not there you can add it from form layout no ?

Please hit like and mark my response as correct if that helps

Hi Musab,

If i add in the normal description it is showing in the HTML format and rich description seems to be better than that.  if i add in the form layout its not showing up in the workspace view and HR task title seems to be empty.

Ok, you need to add description field in Workspace view not default view, please try, if after adding it is still not showing then I guess client script/ UI policy might be affecting it because generally I have not seen both normal and rich description displaying on form, either one will be displayed so please check.

I have added in the workspace view and written a ui policy to show rich_description field only for my HR template. But it is not working.
