Cancel a lifecycle event

Hi, I am a little confused.

I made an onboarding lifecycle event and opened a lifecycle event case for a user. I tried cancelling the case, and the state changed to 'Cancelled'. However, the child tasks' state didn't change. About a week after the attempt, I tried cancelling an onboarding lifecycle event case again and this time, the child tasks' state changed to 'Cancelled' as well.

The only difference was that the child tasks' state were not 'Draft' before case cancel, so I thought the child tasks' state should not be 'Draft' in order to be recognized as a child task and get cancelled automatically.

And then a few days later, I tried cancelling, and the child tasks' state didn't change. Even those which state weren't 'Draft'.

Would there be a specific reason for this? Or did I mistake the auto-cancelling of tasks to be OOB?

@YounseoC I tried to reproduce this and only the parent LE case got cancelled. The HR Task in my case remained in the ready state.

When I posted this question before, someone replied saying that it is a SNOW OOB when a case gets cancelled, child tasks will also be cancelled.

Good to know that I'm not the only one that the child tasks won't be cancelled automatically haha
