Cancel HR Lifecycle Event Case

Hi, I'm making a lifecycle event case for onboarding new hire.

I opened a lifecycle event case and tried cancelling by clicking the cancel button.

A form to enter a reason for cancellation opens and when I submit, nothing happens.

I thought that the tasks in the case and the case itself will be changed to "Cancelled" state, but it stays the same, the screen stays the same.

I want to know the reason and how I can get the cancel to work.

I haven't modified cancel ui action.

It didn't work for days and suddenly I tried 2days ago, it worked.

But today, I cancelled a case and the child tasks weren't cancelled.

Nothing related to the cancelling have been changed, so I'm confused why it worked and don't work now haha

That is indeed confusing haha. It then might have something to do with the flows behind.
There are some triggers setup to check the activity status every 4 hours (default).
Maybe check the connected flows to see if there are any timers that may cause this.

I ended up solving this by making a business rule. I posted this question because I wanted to what happens when a case is cancelled. Whether child task cancelling is automatic or not.
